5 Myths why you don’t need a Mother Me postpartum doula

Get the rest you need, while knowing your baby is in good hands

Myth #1 - We are not planning on breastfeeding.

Whether you choose to breastfeed or not is a personal decision. As a new mom recovering from delivery, a Mother Me postpartum doula will help with bottle feeding, preparing formula and sterilizing.

Myth #2 - We have family close by.

We love family support but sometimes it is nice to have an unrelated family member or friend come in to support you with specific infant care.

Myth #3 - I would feel weird having someone in our home especially at night.

Night support is beneficial for two main reasons:

1) everyone in the family gets some sleep,

and

2) having a doula awake during the night can give you ideas how to manage nights on your own.

Myth #4 - I am not sure how our other kids are going to manage.

Mother Me doulas are always respectful with small children going through a transition. We want to make having a new baby in the house
fun for everyone.

Myth #5 – We may not like our assigned doula.

Mother Me has many well-qualified post partum doulas so if you find your doula is not a fit for your family, we can make a switch to enable our service to work for you
and your family.
