Easy foods to help with your breast milk supply and boost your energy

These basics will help if your milk supply isn’t increasing, we recommend talking to your doctor/midwife or naturopath.

Have a bowl of almonds on the table where you nurse also granola bars, water bottle and fresh fruit.

Papaya fresh cut up or in soups

Oatmeal /Porridge always a good way to start your morning

Boost drink if you find you are missing meals or need something in the middle of the night feeds.

 

Lactation Boost Cookies

Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip & Flaxseed

To improve you Milk

Ingredients:

1 cup butter or marg                                           2 cups flour

1 cup sugar                                                           1 tablespoon baking soda

1 cup brown sugar                                               1 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons water                                            3 cups oats, thick cut works best

2 tablespoons flaxseed

2 large eggs                                                           1 cup chocolate chips

1 tablespoon vanilla                  2 tablespoons brewer’s yeast (can be generous)

 Directions:

Preheat oven to 375. Mix 2 tablespoons of flaxseed and water, set aside for 3-5 minutes.  Cream, butter and sugar.  Add eggs one at a time, mix well. Stir flaxseed mixture then add vanilla mix. Sift flour, baking soda, brewers yeast & salt add to wet mix. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Line sheet with baking paper scoop onto sheet. Bake for 8-12 mins.,depending on the cookie size. Should make about 6 dozen.

MUST BE BREWERS YEAST (NOT BAKERS YEAST) THAT IS THE MAGIC!

2-3 cookies a day will help with your supply

Also get as much rest as you can
